So one of my latest necessity purchases were new rainboots. If you live in New York, you can either buy snow boots for the winter and rainboots for every other season, or as I like to do-buy rainboots and wear them every season. I was on the hunt for skinny calf rainboots since my twig like legs have a hard time walking around when a boot is clunky and hitting me everytime I take a step. I used to have the typical Marc Jacobs rainboots, but after that one developed a rip in one boot, I have been on the hunt to find perfectly fitting rainboots.
Here comes Dav Rain. I was shopping around on a rainy day when my feet were soaked and I realized I could no longer put off this purchase. I didn’t want to spend a fortune on good boots unless they were going to last me. I checked out Filene’s Basement and DSW, but neither had any boots that were to my liking. So after feeling quite defeated, I decided to just stop by ShoeMania, thinking it couldn’t hurt to look. I instantly spotted these rainboots and although the price was a little higher than what I wanted to pay, once I put them on, I knew they were the right ones.
Here are the reasons why:
- Slim boot shaft means it’s easier for me walk around
- Soft fleece lining means it will keep me warm during the winter months
- Simple black/equestrian style means it will go with everything and it’s not as common of a style for a rainboot so it will subtly stand out
- Comfortable to walk in for long periods of time -which wasn’t the case for my old rainboots, which means I don’t have to change out of them immediately when I get to work
Daily Candy’s sample sale site Swirl is having a Dav Rainboot sale on Thursday so if you are in the market for new rainboots I’d definitely check it out. (For an invite to Swirl - click here.)
