swine flu, the new sars.

my dad called me last night because he’s seen swine flu on the news and told me not to go outside in large public places without a face mask. that was what everyone did in china with sars (with good reason!) although, i’m not sure if swine flu is really that serious yet. although the governator schwarzenegger has declared it a state of emergency.

in any case, i’m a little paranoid now about getting the swine flu. makes me want to stay at home or wear a face mask in public. wonder if i should be wearing one to school since that is a large public place…
