Something
Wow, no posts this week? This week went by really fast although Friday felt like 10 days while I was at work. And being the super party animal I was, I came home last night and fell asleep at 10:30, and didn’t accomplish any of the things I wanted to do. Oops… at least this weekend should be productive.  I’m going to try to be better at taking my camera around from now on. Or at...

NYTimes: Governors Island Vision Adds Hills and... →
One of my favorite architecture firms will be helping out with the development of Governors Island. Diller Scofidio & Renfro will be contributing the design of the on-site cafe to the new park that the city is planning to construct. The plans include man-made hills (built on top of the rubble from the demolished military barracks) as well as a winding walkway around the island, a hammock...

Cleanse Recap
So I went on a cleanse last week, but ended up quitting the cleanse midway through the third day with a popsicle. The cleanse was really difficult for me because one main reason: I wasn’t prepared. I’m not saying mentally prepared (because I feel like whether or not I’m cleansing, I’m always going to crave a delicious Shake Shack cheeseburger…) but prepared with meals...

More Cleanse Talk
bryanmckay: I’m not going to lecture a stranger about their dietary habits, but cleanses don’t really work. The foods your cutting out are all huge protein sources. Where else are you going to get that in your diet? Just eat healthy. Don’t do anything dramatic Bryan, I totally appreciate the concern, but I wanted to clear up any misconceptions that I’m not getting enough protein. I’m still eating...

The Cleanse: Beginners Cleanse
I had a few people ask me, what cleanse are you going on? So I thought I’d lay out the details. NO’S: -Sugars -Wheat -Dairy -Animal Products (except fish) -Foods high in fat -Caffeine -Alcohol -Soy - Limited amount of beans Some people are wondering why I’m going on a cleanse, and the truth is because I’ve been eating total junk non stop for the last few weeks and...

Pret A Manger
Pret is a recent find of mine in New York, even though they are all over the city. I instantly fell in love because of three things: 1) healthy fast food, 2) cheap prices, 3) it tastes good! It offers a variety of sandwiches, salads, soups, sushi, wraps, baked goods, and snacks.  I went to two different Pret’s over the weekend, and they each offer a different variety of sandwiches depending...

A Summer Vacation
I think all jobs should adopt the “Summer Vacation” concept that we had during school. I think we would all be more productive with some relaxation and time away from the office. I’m hoping this summer, I’ll be able to go somewhere nice for a week. I’d love to rent a house like this New South Wales home.
